Dora Berman-Weinberg, Ph.D. is a Research Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and a member of the Diabetes Research Institute’s Cell Transplant Center.
Her work focuses on studying various strategies to induce donor-specific tolerance to pancreatic islet allografts in larger animal models.
Dr. Berman-Weinberg has authored over 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals, has presented in national and international meetings and has mentored medical students and postdoctoral fellows.
She is a member of the American Diabetes Association, and an invited reviewer in Cell Transplantation, American Journal of Physiology, Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, International Journal of Obesity and Metabolism.
