Tatiana Froud, M.D., is Research Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Diabetes Research Institute.
After joining the University of Miami in 1998 and embarking on a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, she pursued the field of islet transplantation.
Dr. Froud now serves as a member of the Diabetes Research Institute's Clinical Islet Transplant team, working under the leadership of Dr. Rodolfo Alejandro.
Her focus is on improving techniques used for the islet transplant procedure and the post-transplant evaluation of islet recipients. She is an active member of several professional and honorary organizations, and has lectured on islet transplantation nationally and abroad.
