To encourage the worldwide sharing of ideas, the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) serves as an international training center for both young and experienced researchers.
The DRI hosts yearly conferences and conducts educational workshops, providing visiting scientists with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in islet cell isolation and transplant procedures. The Institute also facilitates the distribution of its specialized islet isolation equipment to researchers throughout the world.
