Study #1
Are you currently taking medicine to treat your high cholesterol? 

If so, and you are at least 18 years old, you may qualify for a medical research study to test a marketed medication to treat high cholesterol in an investigational use. 

Participants in the study will receive:

  • Study medication (some patients will receive placebo)
  • Study-related physician visits
  • Lab work
  • Reimbursement for study travel

Study #2
Are you still at risk for Heart Attack or Stroke?
  

Recent research suggests that a simple blood test may show inflammation of the arteries, which may be an early indicator of cardiovascular disease, even in people with low to normal cholesterol. 

A local doctor is conducting a research trial to evaluate if an experimental drug will lower the risk of heart attack or stroke.  

Qualifications for the study include:  

  • Men must be 55 years old or older
  • Women must be 65 years or older
  • No previous history of heart attack or stroke
  • Low to normal LDL (bad) cholesterol  


Qualified participants will receive study related medical evaluations and may receive study medicine.

Study #3
Are you concerned about your high cholesterol?
  

Do you have high cholesterol?  If you do, you may qualify for a three-month research study of an investigational medication that may lower cholesterol.  

All qualified participants will receive:  

  • Study-related physical exams
  • Electrocardiograms (ECG)
  • Therapeutic Lifestyle Change counseling (nutrition and exercise instruction)
  • Laboratory tests and study drug
  • Routine clinic visits with a research coordinator and/or physician
