Jennifer B. Marks, M.D.

Jennifer Marks, M.D., is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and Section Chief, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, and Medical Director of the Miami VA Medical Center.   

Dr. Marks is a Principal Investigator in the NIH-funded multicenter “Diabetes TrialNet” - a consortium of researchers investigating interventions for the prevention or delay of type 1 diabetes. She is also a Principal Investigator in the national VA Diabetes Study, “Glycemic Control and Complications in Diabetes - Type 2”.  

Dr. Marks received her medical degree and completed a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Miami School of Medicine.  She previously earned a BS in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine and also completed requirements as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at the University of Miami.   

She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, is a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and the American College of Endocrinology (FACE), and is a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE).
