Luz Marina Prieto-Sanchez, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine.
She is also a practicing clinician at the Diabetes Research Institute’s Eleanor and Joseph Kosow Diabetes Treatment Center.
Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Dr. Prieto-Sanchez was trained in internal medicine, and has served in private practice, as well as in academia.
She assumed her current positions after completing a Clinical and Research Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital, and Veterans Administration Medical Center in Miami.
