From the beginning, the families who founded the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation put their faith in Dr. Daniel Mintz.
Three decades ago, Dr. Mintz had a vision: to transplant insulin producing cells – islets – into patients with diabetes. And, he had a vision to unite scientists from around the world to work together, with one purpose: to find a cure.
Thirty years later, his vision is becoming reality.
