Michael Wallock is a vice president of the Wharton Group, an independent insurance broker. He is a consultant and agent to employers and corporations for commercial property and casualty insurance.
Michael has dedicated himself to finding a cure for type 1 diabetes since his daughter, Heather, was diagnosed in 1980. He served as a chapter president in New Jersey for JDRF before he and a number of other parents formed the Foundation for Diabetes Research, which provides seed funding for diabetes research and has given over $800,000 to the DRI for various research projects. Michael is currently FDR’s grant committee chairperson, having previously served as its first president and its chairman of the board.
Michael and his wife, Audrey, who is also active in FDR, reside in Morris County. They have three children and one grandchild.
