Bernard Beber, M.D.

Dr. Bernard Beber is an Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology at the University of Miami, board certified in both radiology and pediatrics. His clinical interests focus on diagnostic radiology and breast calcification at Jackson Memorial Medical Center and Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics.  His research activities are aimed at identifying the problems associated with breast calcification.  

Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Beber came to South Florida in 1959, received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College and his graduate degree from University of Nebraska in Omaha. Dr. Beber returned to Miami to complete his residency at Jackson Memorial and was awarded a fellowship at Cincinnati’s Children’s Hospital in Ohio.  

After marrying his wife, Diane, whose son has diabetes, he became actively involved with the DRIF, serving on the board of directors for many years and also as president of the organization.
