2008 Spring into Fashion Co-Chairs

The 2008 Spring into Fashion Luncheon and Fashion Show to benefit the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI) was held at the Carlyle on the Green in Bethpage State Park on Thursday, February 7, 2008. More than 350 women attended the elegant luncheon hosted by Co-chairs Doreen Peykar and Rina Weinbrom. Following the luncheon, women watched the models strut as they displayed Spring Collection fashions provided by Marshs.
Honorary Chairman Senator Craig Johnson and DRI Executive Director of Medical Development Gary Kleiman were there to pay tribute to the day's honorees, longtime fashion show Co-chairs Addy Fritzhand and Miriam Marlowe-Shiff.
The luncheon also featured a chinese auction with fabulous prizes including: a VIP Party for ESPN Hall of Fame Lounge/ 40/40 Club; a gold and tourmaline ring designed by Judith Ripka; 14 karat gold, diamond and pink tourmaline earrings designed by JRM Jewelers; and designer handbags from Bottega Venetta, Michael Kors and Gucci. The Grand Prize winner was estactic to hear that she had won a 4-night stay at any Small Luxury Hotel in the world!
