WESTCHESTER COCKTAIL RECEPTION

Melissa Krantz and David Fleisher, friends of the Diabetes Research Institute, hosted a lovely reception in their Westchester County, NY, home. After cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, they thanked everyone for attending and spoke poignantly about their personal story and how they came to know of the DRI. They introduced Dr. Elizabeth Fenjves, director of gene therapy, who discussed the latest research advances and the new work underway in different cell-based therapies to restore insulin production.
