CURE THRIFT SHOP OPENING
July 26, 2008
CURE THRIFT SHOP opened its doors in Manhattan’s trendy and chic East Village on July 26, 2008. All proceeds benefit the Diabetes Research Institute. Cure Thrift Shop houses a treasure trove of beautifully showcased designer clothing, antique and contemporary furnishings, collectibles, and loads of high-end merchandise.
Cure Thrift Shop’s founder, Elizabeth Wolff, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when she was 11 years old. After spending several years in fundraising and the thrift shop industry, Elizabeth is now combining her passion for art and antiques with her personal mission: to help bring home the cure for diabetes. Donations of merchandise to Cure Thrift Shop are encouraged and would be very much appreciated. Please contribute your new and gently used furniture, clothing, shoes, accessories, books, art, collectibles, household items, electronics, jewelry, antiques, and anything else that is usable and saleable.
