The always-elegant Empire Ball will light up the Grand Hyatt Hotel once again on Monday, December 6, 2010. The cocktail hour begins at 6:30 p.m., followed at 7:30 p.m. by dinner and dancing. This year, the Real Estate Divison of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation will pay homage to three of its esteemed members. The evening's honoree will be Jody Durst, President of The Durst Organization. Ted Moudis, A.I.A., Senior Principal of Ted Moudis Associates, will receive the Camillo Ricordi Humanitarian Award. Richard C. Heller, Senior Vice President of Malkin Holdings, LLC, will be presented with the Distinguished Service Award.
The 2009 Empire Ball raised one million dollars for the cure-focused research at the Diabetes Research Institute. You can read about last year's event here.
