When LPGA champion Michelle McGann was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 13, she thought her dream of playing professional golf was over. After becoming a patient at the DRI's Kosow Center more than a decade ago, she went on to conquer the course despite some ups and downs along the way. Since then, she's used her experience to help others with diabetes believe in their dream - even their dream of a cure. "When you see how hard they're working every day, there's no reason that you won't be the most optimistic person that there will be a cure. I believe it."
