Andrea Allouche is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator, and a Personal Fitness Trainer at the Diabetes Research Institute. She is originally from Chicago, Illinois and moved to Florida in 2010.
Mrs. Allouche graduated from University of Illinois Champaign/Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics. She completed her dietetic internship at the Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center combined with her Masters degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Community Nutrition at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).
Andrea worked at Rush University Medical Center in a variety of In-Patient, Out-Patient, and Research Settings including: Medical/Surgical Units, Cardiovascular Critical Care Unit, Obstetrics , Nutrition Department Clinic (including Breast Cancer Survival Studies) , Women’s Cardiovascular Clinic, and Gastric By-Pass Clinic. She has always had a passion for providing in patient and out patient Diabetes education and became a Certified Diabetes educator in 2006. Her next position was at Loyola University Medical Center where she was the Coordinator the Diabetes Education Program as well as providing individual and group counseling for patients with Diabetes.
