The always-elegant Empire Ball was once again held at The Grand Hyatt on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. At the Ball, the Real Estate Division of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation paid homage to three of its esteemed members. The recipient of the 2012 Leadership award, Jason D. Pizer, President and CEO of Trinity Real Estate. Richard Wood, President of Plaza Construction, received the Camillo Ricordi Humanitarian award. Frank A. Freda, Executive Managing Director at Cushman & Wakefield, was honored with the Distinguished Service award.
