A day on the golf course is certainly something to look forward to...and so much more rewarding when you can play for an important cause. On Monday, August 6, 2012, the Rod Gilbert Diabetes Research Institute Golf Classic will hold its annual event at the beautiful Pine Hollow Country Club, East Norwich to raise the much needed funds to find a cure for children and adults living with diabetes. The Tournament Directors for the event are Eric Reeps and Bob Zuckerman.
The golf classic, held anually, is in memory of Anthony John Vitale and Helaine Shari White. This year, the committee is pleased to honor Sam Barretta, Executive Vice President, Continental Home Loans, Inc. New York Ranger legend Rod Gilbert will be at the event to support the DRI in its efforts to find a cure for type 1 diabetes.
After a day of birdies and boagies, golfers will enjoy a delicous dinner, a fabulous array of desserts, awards ceremony and an incredible live auction.
