John Doscas has been on Wall Street for over 30 years and is Managing Partner of Chartwell Trading. Previously, John was Co-Founder and President of Hudson Bay Capital. He has served on many financial industry panels and committees. Mr. Doscas also invests and is active in the commercial real estate market globally.
The Doscas family has supported the Diabetes Research Institute and Foundation since 1999. In 2009, at the age of 20, John’s son Christopher was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. At that time John began a world-wide search to identify an organization that he believed was best equipped to find a cure for diabetes. The DRI became John’s organization of choice. In 2012 Mr. Doscas was chosen to serve the honoree for the Crystal Ball and joined the DRIF National Board of Directors.
Mr. Doscas holds a BS in finance from Fordham University and has returned to lecture there. He is on the executive committee of Fordham University’s President Council, the Parents Leadership Committee of Vanderbilt University and the Board of Visitors of The Wake Forest Schools of Business. He established the Doscas Family Foundation to support leading scientific, education and medical research institutions including St. Francis Hospital, the Diabetes Research Institute and others.
