Marc Goodman
The tragic loss of Stacy Joy Goodman to type 1 diabetes – at the age of only 17 – drove her father, Marc, to relentlessly pursue a cure for this disease … and to make sure no other family would experience the same pain and devastation.
Marc established the Stacy Joy Goodman Memorial Foundation to fund research toward a cure. His foundation searched the US – and the world – for a place worthy of their support.
They decided on the Diabetes Research Institute.
The Stacy Joy Goodman Memorial Foundation has endowed a Chair to provide funding for a DRI scientist whose life’s work has been dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes.
In honor of his daughter, and the research underway to cure those who live with this disease, the Stacy Joy Goodman Clinical Research Pavilion bears her name.
