Izabel Goulart, supermodel from Brazil. Izabel has modeled for Victoria's Secret, Armani Exchange, Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, Valentino, Chanel, and other leading designers. She also has appeared on several American network TV programs.
Why she's involved
Her younger brother has type 1 diabetes.
How she helps
Izabel serves as the Interntional Ambassador for the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation. As she travels the world, she is raising awareness of type 1 diabetes and the DRI's research.
Why the DRI?
"Nothing is more important to me than finding a cure for my brother," she says.
"If I can raise awareness in the course of my travels, and bring attention to the Diabetes Research Institute, I will be helping my brother and millions like him who are living with this disease."
