Amy Kimberlain, RD, LD/N is a registered and licensed dietitian at the Diabetes Research Institute.
Ms. Kimberlain graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition and Spanish. She completed her dietetic internship at Baylor University Medical Center, where she provided medical nutrition therapy for patients with complex medical conditions in adult and pediatric medicine and surgery, cardiology, neurology, bone marrow and solid organ transplantation, and intensive care units.
Prior to joining the Diabetes Research Institute, Amy worked as a community dietitian and focused on helping to prevent childhood obesity. She created innovative nutrition lessons and classes to help educate children and parents.
At the Diabetes Research Institute, Ms. Kimberlain conducts individual counseling sessions, assisting patients with diabetes in developing a healthy meal plan which will help them achieve optimal outcomes in their diabetes management. She participates in the various classes offered by the education department and develops bilingual education material for the patients. Amy is also a Registered Yoga Teacher – RYT 200®.
