Dr. Camillo Ricordi to Speak at #WSCS2019

DRI Director Dr. Camillo Ricordi will be giving several presentations at the 2019 World Stem Cell Summit, including a discussion with other panelists on the challenges for bringing cell therapies to the clinic, platform technologies for islet transplantation, and opportunities arising from new legislation. He will also present on recent clinical advances for mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) for the treatment of type 1 diabetes, and other efforts to advance this research towards clinical trials.

February 7, 2019 -- Camillo Ricordi, M.D., director of the Diabetes Research Institute at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, has been appointed by Italian Minister of Health Giulia Grillo to Italy’s Supreme Council of Health, the committee of medical experts who advise the government on health policy.
