Diabetes Made Simple

Diabetes Made Simple  provides people living with diabetes with the most up-to-date information about diabetes and how to incorporate the best self-management skills into a healthier lifestyle -- a “must” for newly diagnosed patients and their families.  

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Summarize what is diabetes mellitus
  • List three benefits of optimum diabetes control
  • List three signs of hypoglycemia and three methods of treatment
  • Identify at least three chronic complications of diabetes mellitus
  • Describe the relationship of food to medication and activity
  • Explain the role of meal planning in blood sugar control
  • Describe sick day guidelines
