Comedian George Lopez will "Stand up for a Cure"
Los Angeles, CA (September 11, 2007) –- Featuring a hilarious performance by George Lopez, one of the premier comedic talents in the entertainment industry today, Stand Up for a Cure will be held at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles on Sunday, November 4th at 5:00 p.m. Presented by Turner Construction Company, the fifth annual event will also include a cocktail reception, dinner, live and silent auctions, and fantastic prize drawings – from a Portuguese paradise getaway to an exclusive spa escape. All proceeds will benefit the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI), a world leader in cure-focused research.

A Los Angeles native, Lopez devotes much time to the community and his own charity, The George & Ann Lopez-Richie Alacron CARE Foundation, among others.
